What solder does Monster use?
Answer: Not sure what solder they use. You might try to look up their marketing info on the web. I tried several XLR terminated cables and found the Pro 2000’s provided the most articulate and accurate sound from my studio monitors. The Audioquest Mackenzies are also very good but laid back in the presence region. Smoother sound but gives up some articulation. The Pro 2000’s “broke in” very quickly and sound very good right out of the box. I own two pair of Pro 2000’s as I have two sets of Studio Monitors. Since you can’t hear as I hear you will have to decide for yourself. For now, they work for me. -
Question:
Why does it say gold? The one I received does not have any gold coloring on it.
Answer: The 2 pairs of 3 Meter Prolink Studio Pro 2000 cables I own appear to be gold plated.
