The setup is quick thanks to the provided tutorial and quick guides - however, there have been complaints about missing manuals. The system can record for 8 cameras at the same time and provides multiple options for motion detection via email alerts or a buzzer sound. The Annke product has numerous quality issues that affect customer experience overall. There are reports of the model being plagued with engineering flaws such as the CMOS battery causing the DN81R to reset to the default date of 1970, and once the power was restored, it allowed for only the recordings before 2004 to be accessible. Furthermore, accessing the DN81R directly requires a mouse and virtual keyboard, which can be very touchy. The GUI is Considered okay, however, it has a lot of room for improvement. Reports have surfaced about the product's camera quality and workmanship, leaving customers feeling they would have saved their money if they had known the trouble that would follow an issue.
