Se dirá sin duda que esta responsabilidad es atenuada, en cierta medida, por la libertad de las criaturas; pero, si las criaturas pueden escoger entre el Bien y el Mal, es que uno y otro existen ya, al menos en principio; y si son susceptibles de decidirse a veces en favor del Mal en lugar de estar siempre inclinadas siempre hacia el Bien, es que son imperfectas; ¿cómo entonces Dios, si es perfecto, ha podido crear seres imperfectos?
