The mirrors come with a rubber gasket that fits between the mirrors and the vehicle mount and are coated with a durable finish, which seems like powder coat. One of the mirrors can be used outside the driver's window, and it supplements the normal side view mirror without obscuring it. It is easy to install but not recommended for freeway driving.
