The product is not fireproof, but it can withstand flames due to its metal inner portion. To set the password, keep the dials at 0-0-0, move the slide switch to reset the password, set the new combination, and then move the slide switch back. The product does not fit an A6 booklet. The lock is optional, and there is no need to set it if one does not want to use it. This box has a realistic cover and a metal storage unit, feels sturdy, and is sufficient for storing things securely. It cannot keep out a wise professional but works well for kids or curious minds. One customer faced difficulty in resetting the password. It is not completely sound as someone could break it open with the right tools.
