DecoArt Polyurethanes, Shellac & Varnish Editorial Review
The Americana Soft Touch Varnish has been met with enthusiastic praise from customers who appreciate its performance, versatility, and ease of use. Many users looking for alternative varnishing solutions, especially for projects involving "Reborn" dolls, found it to be far superior to their previous choices. A Consistent theme in reviews is the product's smooth application and quick drying time of just 1 to 2 hours, which allows for layering without cumbersome delays. Customers noted that the varnish leaves a soft, non-glossy finish that effectively reduces shine and conceals imperfections like glue marks. Its self-leveling quality means there's no need for a meticulous application, which appeals to both artists and DIY enthusiasts alike. The fact that it can be easily cleaned with rubbing alcohol further adds to its appeal, marking it as a practical choice compared to other alternatives requiring more intensive clean-up methods. With its ability to coat surfaces evenly and retain the natural feel of painted materials, this varnish is highly regarded for its longevity, making it a worthwhile investment. Users have reported satisfactory results on various surfaces, including furniture and doll projects, noting that it withstands wear over time without scratching or peeling. Overall, the Americana Soft Touch Varnish has secured its place as a go-to varnish option, especially for those aiming for a matte finish with a soft touch. **
