It is not recommended to turn the wheel on the carpet, as it is not very durable and may tear or become damaged. The mat is easily cut to size and the extra pieces can be used for various purposes, such as underneath trash cans. While it may move easily on the ground, it is heavy enough to not require double-sided tape to stay in place. However, some customers suggest using black duct tape around the edges to hold them in place and keep the mat flat. The felt top can show marks from anything rubbing on it, such as boot scuffs. The mat can be vacuumed, but oil may require more effort to clean.
