It requires at least 1A and 5VDC to work but is advertised as a 10-watt LED. The LED needs to be mounted on a thermally conductive metal, such as an aluminum plate, for it to work properly. The LED's life may be shortened if it gets too hot. Overall, reviews for this product are positive, citing good brightness and value for money. However, one review complains that the color is not accurate, and the LED looks green instead of cyan. Another user found it better than the 940 nm for their application. One review states that the recommended driver is incorrect, and the LED actually uses 5V and 900mA.
