Diane Water & Stain Treatments 364 Editorial Review
The Fromm Strop Dressing is highly recommended for maintaining the leather strap of a strop. It absorbs nicely into the leather with minimal discoloration and keeps it soft and supple, preventing the blade from catching. One application per week is suggested. It is not recommended for use on carving tools. The dressing does not change the color of the leather. This product is used to lubricate the strop during sharpening, not as a substitute for a compound or jewelers rouge.
