MKS (Mikashima) FD-7 Pedal, Made in Japan, Folding Pedal, Left and Right Set, Silver

**Editorial Review of MKS Mikashima FD-7 Pedals** The MKS Mikashima FD-7 pedals are a commendable choice for cyclists seeking a sturdy, reliable folding pedal solution. With a design made in Japan, these pedals combine the elegance of craftsmanship with functional durability, making them suitable for various biking environments, from city commutes to winter treks. Users Consistently praise the silky smooth spin and the pedal's resilience against harsh conditions, particularly highlighted by their performance during winter months. Swamped in salt, snow, and grit, the pedals have shown an impressive ability to maintain functionality over extensive mileage – often cited in the range of 1,500 to 2,000 miles without need for service. This speaks volumes about their build quality and durability. The folding mechanism has also garnered positive feedback; it is secure and straightforward, allowing for easy transition from ride to fold. Despite being one of the stiffer options available, the pedals still manage to balance between solid Construction and user-friendly portability. Moreover, the traction provided on the pedal surface proves efficient for foot grip without excessively wearing down shoe soles, a significant advantage for those wearing modern sneakers. It's noted that they may not fold as flat as some competitors, presenting a minor trade-off in terms of space savings. However, the MKS FD-7s compensate for this with their robust performance and low friction loss, resulting in a more efficient ride, often described as feeling like an extra boost of power when pedaling. While some users might prefer a different aesthetic—such as an all-black pedal for a sleeker look—the overall sentiment leans positive. At a price point of around $46, these pedals represent good value for the quality and longevity they deliver, making them a worthy investment for cycling enthusiasts. **
