Borla Mufflers 400486 Editorial Review
The BORLA 400486 Muffler has garnered significant attention and strong feedback from automotive enthusiasts who appreciate its quality and performance enhancements. Initially praised for its robust Construction and aesthetic appeal, many users highlighted the benefits of improved horsepower and fuel efficiency—reporting gains of 2 to 4 miles per gallon. The muffler's sound was also a point of delight for several customers, offering a deep, rich tone that avoids being overly loud or obnoxious. This made it an appealing choice for owners wanting an upgrade from factory options without sacrificing comfort. However, the product has faced criticism due to its unexpected drone at specific RPM ranges, particularly between 1800 and 2000 RPM. This unpleasant characteristic led some users to revert to their original mufflers, indicating that while the performance benefits are substantial, the drone issue was a dealbreaker for them. The feedback suggests that potential buyers should Consider their personal tolerance for sound when choosing this muffler, especially if they are sensitive to droning noises. In summary, while the BORLA 400486 Muffler offers significant performance enhancements and aesthetic appeal, noise characteristics such as droning at certain RPM levels may be a concern for some customers. **
