Galashield Owl Decoy is a plastic owl statue designed to scare birds away from gardens and outdoor spaces. One customer bought it to prevent birds from eating cat food outside and it worked, also keeping the birds from roosting and pooping on their van. The owl is made of hard plastic and is of the natural size of an owl, although some customers were disappointed with the color, feeling that it had too much white to be realistic. Some customers used rocks to weigh it down and prevent it from falling over in the wind. While some found it realistic and useful, others found flaws in its design, such as the small connection on the head for hanging, which broke after slight wind. Additionally, customers said the nobs on the bottom were a tip hazard and that the hook on top was flimsy. One customer reported a flock of blackbirds leaving the neighborhood after using both the Galashield Owl Decoy and a set of fake crows to scare them away.
