Dorman Parking C660250 Editorial Review
The Dorman C660250 Parking Brake Cable has garnered mixed reviews from users, primarily revolving around its compatibility and installation ease. Many customers report successful installations in various Toyota Tacoma models, especially the 1999 and 1996 configurations. Users have noted that while the cable generally functions well, achieving a proper fit can be tricky, with some requiring modification of the cable or existing brackets during installation. A significant point of discussion has been the installation process itself. While some customers found the instructions vague, they managed to navigate through the setup with the help of online resources like YouTube. Others recounted specific tricks, like manipulating the e-brake lever's ratcheting mechanism for smoother cable placement. However, a handful of reviews raised concerns regarding the fit of the cable end, with some users reporting that it was either too large to fit properly or required additional work to avoid movement issues. Durability is also a recurring theme, with some users experiencing cable snapping after a short period of use, leading to doubts about the long-term reliability of the product. In contrast, others found the cable to be an exact match for their vehicles, emphasizing that when it fits properly, it performs well and operates effectively. Overall, the Dorman C660250 Parking Brake Cable appears to be an effective replacement option for many Toyota Tacoma owners, though potential buyers should be prepared for installation adjustments and Consider the possibility of varied durability outcomes. **
