The Metabo HPT 18V MultiVolt™ Cordless 5-Inch Random Orbit Sander (Tool Only - No Battery) w/ 18V MultiVolt™ Cordless Trim Router (Tool Only) is a powerful tool that can perform a variety of different sanding jobs. Customers have noted that it has excellent torque and variable speed, but the power switch is not in an ideal location for ergonomic use and the dust port requires a special coupler to attach to a vacuum. The sander requires a larger battery as the 1Ah batteries do not last long. Customers have praised the longevity of the battery, as well as the excellent job it does. However, some customers have noted that it is only suitable for the Metabo range in the USA and Canada, which was not clearly stated in the product description.
