Eco-Poly Clear Polyurethane sealer is a clear and high-performance sealer that can be tinted with any water based colorants. It can be used in various surfaces such as wood, tile, grout, painted plastic exterior window shutters, and stair flooring among others. A sanding at 60-90 grit and then applying at least two thin coats is recommended for painted plastic exterior window shutters to give the best finish. This sealant is breathable, which allows it to slightly change the sheen (satin, matte, gloss) of the paint, but it may not stop the off-gassing of VOCs completely. Many customers found the sealer easy to apply, with a low odor. It goes on smooth and dries quickly. The sheen is light and looks great on surfaces like wooden floors, fences, and boxes. However, with prolonged exposure to water, the sealer may turn white. A few customers had difficulty with packaging, with dented cans, and difficulty opening. It is also quite expensive and some customers found it to be a rip-off, while others found the finish to be sticky and difficulty to work with.
