Miles Racing Brake Pads Semi Metallic (MI-MET-27 New) Editorial Review
The customer reviews indicate a strong preference for the Miles brake pads over the Shimano options, with users highlighting the performance characteristics and longevity of the Miles pads. One reviewer emphasized the semi-metallic compound's ability to last approximately 2500 miles, demonstrating impressive durability, especially under the rigors of mountain biking in Colorado. They praised the pads for their robust stopping power, excellent modulation, and reliability during extreme and wet conditions. Additionally, the look of the turquoise color was mentioned as a stylish bonus. On the other hand, the Shimano pads received mixed feedback. While some users noted good stopping power and reduced glazing compared to stock pads, others mentioned issues with compatibility and misleading product descriptions. The critical feedback suggests that some buyers may be disappointed if they assumed compatibility with certain bike models, such as the Ultegra R8070. Overall, while the Shimano pads perform adequately in some aspects, the Miles pads are positioned as a better option for users seeking durability and reliable performance. **
